How is my booking protected with TourRadar?

Every booking made on TourRadar comes with booking protection to keep you covered.

TourRadar booking protection covers you if the price doesn't match booking directly with the operator, the tour differs significantly from its description, your operator cancels and no suitable alternative is available, or in the rare case that an operator goes out of business. Either way, you can trust that you'll get the adventure you booked or a fair resolution. You can read more about how we build trust with travelers on our trust and safety page.

How can my operator help if something goes wrong?

If anything unexpected comes up, your operator is usually your best point of contact and can often fix the issue quickly. You can message them directly to let them know what's happening.

Do I pay the same price as booking directly with the operator?

Yes. When you book through TourRadar, you're dealing directly with the operator, so the price you pay for a specific tour is the same as if you booked with them directly.

What happens if the tour listing isn't accurate?

If a tour turns out to be significantly different from what was advertised, your operator is usually the best resource to help fix it. If they can't resolve the issue, TourRadar will step in to find a fair outcome based on what was agreed in your Booking Conversation Page and the operator's Terms and Conditions. You can contact us at any time.

What happens if my operator cancels the tour?

If your operator cancels and there's no suitable alternative available, we'll help you find a similar tour at a comparable price where possible. If no alternative works for you, or you'd rather not rebook, we'll work with you and the operator to find a fair solution based on the circumstances and the operator's Terms and Conditions.

What if my operator goes out of business?

In the rare event that an operator goes out of business, TourRadar protects you with a full refund or a strong alternative adventure to choose from.

Does travel insurance come with my booking?

TourRadar booking protection isn't a travel insurance policy, and it's worth understanding the difference. Booking protection covers issues connected to your booking itself, such as your operator canceling, a tour not matching its description, or an operator going out of business. It doesn't cover travel-related issues that can come up along the way, such as a flight delay, a storm disrupting your plans, or an airline damaging your baggage.

For that kind of protection, you can add travel insurance provided by XCover to your booking, either during checkout or afterward through your Booking Conversation Page.
