If you need to cancel your insurance policy, you can do so by sending us a message from your Booking Conversation Page. You can read more at What is the Booking Conversation Page, and how do I find it?.
We will then liaise with XCover to determine if cancelation and a refund are possible. The ability to cancel your insurance depends on several factors, such as the duration since the purchase, whether the cooling-off period has passed, and whether any claims have been made.
If cancellation is feasible, we will promptly process your refund. If it is not possible to cancel, we will inform you accordingly.
Please be aware of the cooling-off period, which varies by country and is the timeframe from the date of purchase during which you can cancel your insurance policy without penalty. Here are the cooling-off periods for different countries, reflecting recent updates:
- USA:
- General: 15 days
- Indiana: 30 days
- Washington (WA), Vermont (VT), Montana (MT), Missouri (MO), Kansas (KS), Connecticut (CT): 21 days
- Canada: 10 days
- UK (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland): 14 days
- EU (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Netherlands, Malta): 14 days
- Australia: 14 days
- New Zealand: 14 days
Outside of these periods, your insurance is generally non-refundable. It's crucial to read the policy wording carefully to understand your rights and the specific terms of your insurance coverage.
