How can I cancel my booking request before receiving confirmation?

Need to cancel your booking request before confirmation? Here's how to check your status and take action quickly.

If you've submitted a booking request but now want to cancel, please note this may not always be possible. Operators often begin preparing services right after a request is submitted — even before issuing confirmation. Acting quickly gives you the best chance of avoiding fees, though this depends on the operator’s policies and how far along they are in the process.

Not sure if your booking is confirmed?

After submitting your request, you’ll receive an email confirming your booking status. You can also check this anytime on your Booking Conversation Page, where it will show in the top right either:

  • “Awaiting confirmation”

  • “Booking confirmed”

This helps set expectations. If your booking is still awaiting confirmation, there may be more flexibility — but cancellation is not guaranteed and fees can still apply. If it’s already confirmed, standard cancellation terms will apply.

How to request cancellation before confirmation

Send a message immediately

  • Log in to your TourRadar account and go to your Booking Conversation Page. From there, send a message right away stating that you'd like to cancel your booking request.
  • Prompt communication is essential — the sooner you reach out, the better the chance your request can be reviewed before confirmation or further arrangements are made.

What happens next?

The operator will review your message and reply through the Booking Conversation Page to confirm whether cancellation is possible and whether any fees apply. This could take up to 1-3 business days.

Cancellation terms and conditions apply to all bookings, whether they are still pending or already confirmed. When you request to cancel, the operator will review your message and confirm whether cancellation is possible and whether any fees apply.
