When browsing for tours on TourRadar, the currency you see for pricing is determined by your geographic location.
The currency you see on TourRadar is based on your location when you make a booking. We’ve got you covered with a range of currencies: AUD, CAD, EUR, GBP, NZD, and USD. Keep in mind, that depending on your currency, some payment methods might not be available.
For travelers accessing the site from other regions, such as Asia, Africa, and South America, prices are usually displayed in USD.
How to verify currency
To confirm the currency, look for the two- or three-letter currency code next to the price amount. This code is visible on both the tour and booking page and indicates the specific currency in which prices are listed.
Third-party fees
If the currency you’re booking in doesn’t match your default payment method, your bank or credit card company might apply currency conversion fees. TourRadar isn’t responsible for these fees, so it’s a good idea to check with your bank or credit card company to get the details.
Payment processing location and fees
The location of where payment processing occurs matters because no one likes it when your bank or credit card company charges an international processing fee or a cross-border fee even though you made your booking in your local payment currency.
One of the benefits of using TourRadar is that most of our payment processing entities are local:
- AUD and NZD are processed in Australia via our Australian company
- CAD is processed in Canada via our Canadian company
- EUR and GBP are processed in Europe via our European company
- USD is processed in the USA via our American company
You shouldn’t see any extra fees on your bank statement if you're in these regions. However, suppose extra fees do pop up or the amount charged is different from what was shown on the TourRadar booking page. In that case, it might be due to your bank or credit card company classifying TourRadar’s processing entity as international. Unfortunately, we don’t manage these fees and can’t refund them, so please contact your bank or credit card company for more information.
