What's happening with TourRadar+ and my Travel Credits?

Travel Credits have been replaced by TourRadar+, and here's what that means for you.

Travel Credits have now been retired, and our TourRadar+ Loyalty Program has taken their place. Instead of collecting a credit balance and choosing when to redeem it, you now have TourRadar+ Member Savings that are applied automatically whenever you book, for as many trips as you book. There's no code to enter and nothing to claim.

If you have a TourRadar account, you're already a TourRadar+ Member, and your level was set from your booking history when the change was made. The more you've traveled with us, the higher your level and the bigger your savings.

Find all of the information about our TourRadar+ Loyalty Program here.

Can I still use my Travel Credits?

Travel Credits can no longer be applied to a booking, so you won't see a credit balance on your account anymore. In their place, you have a TourRadar+ Level, and your savings come off the price automatically whenever you're signed in. Every traveller who had Travel Credits is automatically a member of TourRadar+. Unlike a credit balance, it isn't something you only earn on eligible bookings, or use up on one trip. Every booking counts towards your member level, and your member savings can be redeemed every time you book with participating operators.

Why can't I apply my credits at checkout anymore?

Credits and TourRadar+ are two different ways of rewarding you for traveling with us, and we've moved from one to the other. With credits, you had to earn a balance, remember you had it, and apply it yourself at the right moment. With TourRadar+, your savings are built into the prices you see so you can see the best price available to you when searching for adventures automatically once you're signed in, so there's nothing to remember and nothing to redeem.

Am I worse off now that my credits have gone?

We understand it can feel that way if you'd built up a balance, so it's worth knowing how the two compare.

With Travel Credits, the most that could come off a single booking was 5% of its value, however large your balance was, so it was not an amount you could spend in full, and if your balance was less than 5% of the booking value, that would be the maximum savings you could get.

With TourRadar+, members can save up to 7% depending on your level. There's nothing to use up and no single-booking limit. Your level is applied for as many trips as you book, and it rises as you travel with us. There's no minimum spend either, and your savings aren't capped by what your trip costs. Your level stays with you too, as it doesn't expire through inactivity.

For most travelers this works out better from the start and over time.

How much do I save now?

Your savings depend on which of the three TourRadar+ levels you're on, and your level is based on how many confirmed bookings you've made with us:

  • Level 1 (you have an account and haven't booked yet): save up to 3%

  • Level 2 (1 to 3 bookings): save up to 5%

  • Level 3 (4 or more bookings): save up to 7%

When you're signed in, these savings are already included in the prices you see as you browse, and the exact amount is confirmed on the booking page once you've chosen your departure date, number of travelers and any extras. You can read more in What is the TourRadar+ Loyalty Program?

Which level am I on?

Your level was applied to your account automatically, so there's nothing you need to do. Sign in and open your account page, where you'll find your level, the bookings it's based on, and how close you are to the next one. There's more detail in How do I see my TourRadar+ level and savings?

Do I need to do anything to get my savings?

All you need to do is sign in before you book. You can then browse tours and see the price upfront according to your TourRadar+ level. Your savings are automatically applied, with no code to enter and nothing to activate. You can see the exact saving amount on the booking page.

Make sure to sign in first, because if you book while signed out you'll see the tour's regular price without your TourRadar+ savings applied, and we aren't able to add them to a booking afterwards.

Why is my saving different on some tours, or not showing?

Your savings can vary from tour to tour depending on the operator. The best price available for each tour is shown to you throughout, as long as you are signed in. You'll always see the exact savings for a tour on the booking page before you pay, so it's worth keeping an eye out as you browse, because some trips will save you more than others.

I earned my credits through Moments, a contest or signing up, not by booking. Where has that value gone?

Thank you for being part of TourRadar+, and we understand this change may land differently for you. TourRadar+ levels are based on confirmed bookings, so if you haven't booked with us yet you're a Level 1 member and already saving up to 3% on your first trip, growing from there as you travel with us, rather than being a one-off amount. If you'd like to talk it through, our Customer Support team is happy to help.

Can I still see my old credit balance?

Your credit history is still on our records even though there's no longer a balance to apply to a booking, so if you have a question about how your credits were earned, our Customer Support team can look into it with you.

Can referring a friend still help me save?

Yes, it can. A successful referral counts toward your TourRadar+ level in the same way one of your own bookings does, so it can move you up a level and increase your savings. Your friend needs to be new to TourRadar, sign up using your referral link, and then make a booking. You can find the details in How does Refer & Save work?
